SRO is an independent, non-profit, non-governmental, and non-political organization dedicated to cultural, political, social, and humanitarian activities. Guided by local moral and cultural values, we strive to improve life in Afghanistan, especially for those affected by war, by offering opportunities for a better future for their families.

We operate in two sectors: the first is providing assistance to individuals directly, and the second is for the implementation of public benefit projects and helping the deserving through donors in a trustworthy manner.

Ansar Orphanage

Ansar Orphanage is a sanctuary for over 1,000 children, providing them with not only shelter but also a loving, nurturing environment. Nestled in Herat, this orphanage stands as a beacon of hope for children who have lost their families. Beyond the basics of food, clothing, and shelter, Bright Horizons focuses on holistic development, offering educational programs, vocational training, and emotional support to help the children thrive. The facility is equipped with state-of-the-art classrooms, a library filled with inspiring books, and recreational areas that encourage both physical activity and creativity. Every child here is given the opportunity to explore their potential and build a future filled with possibilities.
