Ansar Orphanage

Ansar Orphanage, located in Gazergah Sharif, Herat, was established in 1384 [Islamic calendar]. This institution, one of the country's most renowned educational centers, was founded with the aim of serving society and the Islamic Ummah. With the support and cooperation of sincere, knowledgeable individuals from the Muhammadan school (ﷺ), the orphanage strives to provide spiritual education, religious knowledge, and a strong religious foundation, all while fostering Islamic culture and raising an informed and virtuous generation.

This significant educational center currently serves 1,500 students, both male and female, from grades 1 to 12. They are educated in two separate facilities by a team of 22 experienced and specialized male and female professors who teach both Islamic and contemporary sciences.

Since the primary mission of this institution is to care for orphans in the region, a significant portion of the students—approximately 40%—are orphans. Additionally, the orphanage currently provides for 300 male students in its residential program.

A remarkable and noteworthy aspect of Ansar Orphanage is that all facilities, classes, textbooks, and related costs are provided entirely free of charge to the orphans, with no fees required for any of these services.

Al-Hajj Khwaja Abdul Khaliq Ansari, known as Abu Laitam, the son of the late Al-Hajj Khwaja Mohammad Sediq Ansari; In the year: 1347 A.H., they were born in a pious family with knowledge and mysticism. Their lineage goes back to Sheikh-ul-Islam Khwaja Abdullah Ansari (may God have mercy on him), one of the descendants of the Companions of the Prophet (peace be upon him), namely Abu Ayyub Ansari (may God bless him and grant him peace). They learned elementary lessons from their father and completed the popular sciences of that time up to the 14th grade in Sharif-Herat Comprehensive School. After graduating from school, in addition to teaching, they also worked with their father in business affairs. In short, in the year 2000 AH, with the advice and guidance of sincere and religious brothers, they founded the great Madrasah of Ansar under the name (Al-Jama'e Al-Ansar Al-Alamiya, known as Darul Uloom Aali Ansar), which since then has dozens of madrasas and orphanages, and They activated hundreds of Dar al-Hafaz circles in the center, surrounding and surrounding areas of Herat city and served them free of charge to the children of this region. Alhamdulillah, they have brought up and educated thousands of young people in a healthy way and presented them to the Islamic community and nation.
