Our Achievements
AFAD Project
During the earthquake that hit Herat City, Afghanistan in October 2023, the SRO team quickly raised funds to support those affected by the devastating events. In colloboration with Turkish AFAD and the private sector of Afghanistan, SRO distirbuted waterproof tents, blankets, and food to 10,000 people living in the streets due to the fear of aftershocks.
Bala Morghab Project
In 2003-2004, SRO faced a major setback while building a bridge in Bala Morghab, Badghis. WHen it collapsed midway, despite some colleagues leaving, our team preserved, re-planned, and successfully completed the project. This earned us UNOPS recognition as one of the best projects of the year, highlighting our commitment to overcoming challenges and ensuring quality.
EarhtQuake Relief Project
SRO NGO has built a settlement for Herat earthquake victims. The settlement consists of 300 houses located in Siyah Ab, Zendajan Herat, worth 200 millions Afghanis. The project was donated by Azizi Bank.
Kartah School
The construction of Kartah School in Herat Province included 12 new classrooms, 6 toilets, and the repair of 10 existing classrooms. Built with the help of HAID Organization, this school benefits 1200 students annually and continues to support more students every day.
Shelter Project in Khoshk-e-Rabat Sangi
Shelter project in Khoshk e rabat sangi, Koshk e kohna, Golraan district, Enjil district of Herat city in total 1891 families in 161 villages of returnee,IDP , Widows , elder and disabled of war we supported with collaboration of UNHCR , MORR and S.R.O
Road of Shahrak and Cheqcheran
Rehabilitation of 130 Km road between Shahrak and Cheqhcharan city. Along side rebuilding of 47 Bridges. In total 50000 jobs were created as result of this project. With fund from IRC,RRD
Ghooryan District Project
Rehabilitation of village and passage in ghoryaan district of Herat city. In total 30 bridges and culverts was rebuilt by S.R.O team and funded by UNHCR.
Chah Kamarak Kariz Rehabiliation
Chah Kamarak Kariz rehabilitation. Project for cleaning of 700 meters kariz length. Construction of 72 meter protection wall, cleaning of damaged wells and protection of wells. In total 2250 residents of these villages we employed by S.R.O team with help of UNHCR
Chahar Kabotar Khan
Chahar Kabotar khan – Gashancha Road . this project consisted of building of 1.5 km Asphalt road and 6 culverts. This roaded 10 villages on its way.
Winter Aid
Distribution of winter Aid in 15 districts of Herat city . in total 15000 people were provided with gas for Stove, cash , blankets , detergent soap , plastic buckets, pick axe and shovel handles .
Water Sanitization
Water sanitation program in Herat and Badghis provinces of herat city . in total in this program 105 tube wells, 42 bath blocks , 220 public toilets , in 67 various villages were constructed by S.R.O Team

Rehabilitation and Snow cleaning of SABZAK pass with UNOPS and hardworking S.R.O Team
Construction Of Ashphalt Road
Construction of Asphalt road of between Atesh sang to Qala naw city in badghis. With fund of UNOPS and S.R.O.
Construction RRD Building
The administrative building of RRD in Ghor province. this building was built by S.R.O team to highest standard of construction. This project was funded by IOM/ATI.
Dolainah Project Project
Construction of asphalt road between DOLAINAH and CHAGHCHARAN City on BAYAAN PASS. With partnership with UNOPS.
Construction of Women Affairs Building
Women Affairs department building in Badghis province was built by SRO team with fund from IOM/ATI in 5 months.
